2009 Valley Basball League All-Star Game Photos

The 2009 Valley Baseball League All-Star game was held at Woodstock on July 12, 2009. Photos by Melissa Dodge.

The Rebels All Star squad: Eric Alessio, Richie Gonzales, Brian Burgess, Kenny Mickens, Sanchez Gartman (homerun derby participant), and Zach Helgeson (not shown).
Sanchez came to participate in the homerun derby. The strong wind blowing in to the plate made it tough on all the hitters.

Brian Burgess during the introduction of players. Burgess earned the save for the South.
The scouts and their pitch speed guns were out in force. Alessio topped out at 93 mph and Burgess hit 86 mph.
Alessio pitched 2 innings and helped secure the win for the South.
