2010 New Market Rebels Team Orientation

Players, coaches, and host families gathered on May 30th, 2010 for the annual team orientation. Upon arrival the players were checked in and given their uniforms and a tour of the Rebel Park facilities. Rebels team management then addressed the players to introduce them to their new coaches and to fill them in on expectations for the season. Hi-lights of the season will include beating Luray at every opportunity, Reading with the Rebels, Coach Paluga's youth baseball camps, Parents weekend, 4th of July parade, Old timers batting practice, Rebels golf tournament, keeping the Battle of the Mountain trophy on this side of the mountain (ie: beating Luray!), and lots of enjoyable baseball! The season kicks off on June 2 with the Meet the Rebels picnic followed by a scrimmage against the New Market Shockers. The Rebels have the honor of playing in the season opener against the Harrisonburg Turks in the brand new Veterans Memorial Stadium on June 3rd at 7:30pm. All games will be broadcast online.
