An Exciting Announcement!

June 8, 2009 - Austin Gisriel

I am excited to announce that Shenandoah Summer: Safe at Home in New Market, Virginia will be published by Augusta Free Press. Located in Waynesboro, Virginia, the AFP is owned and operated by Chris and Crystal Graham.

Chris and I talked for almost two hours last week and I was more than pleased with what he had to say about publishing and publicizing a book. He and I share a very similar approach to writing which will make the editing process that much easier. Furthermore, Chris is in his first year as general manager of the Waynesboro Generals, so he is already familiar with the subject matter!

The Grahams publish the New Dominion a monthly print magazine, as well as the Augusta Free Press: Online News. Online Conversation.

We will bring you more news about the book throughout the summer.  Our goal is to have copies ready for sale by December 1st, so be thinking about the baseball fans on your Christmas list!

I am looking forward to working with Chris and Crystal and want them to know that I'm rooting for the Generals to make it to the final round of the Jim Lineweaver Cup playoffs where they will take on the New Market Rebels.  At that point, however, you guys are on your own!
