Each week, the Valley Baseball League identifies Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards. In addition, players can be named to the division's All Star Team at mid-season and the Valley League's All-League team at the end of the season.

Valley Baseball League All-League Teams:

August 8, 2008 - The Valley League has announced the 2008 First and Second Vaslley Baseball All-League teams with 15 players honored on the First team and 16 players honored on the Second team. The New Market Rebels had two players on the Valley Baseball League Second Team All-League team. These were the Rebels honored:

	Outfield - Kevin Dietrich (UNC Pembroke)
	Relief Pitcher - Daniel Gentzler (Maryland)

Player of the Week / Pitcher of the Week:

June 23, 2008 - Steve Owens (Sykesville, Md.) - The Richmond Spider from Sykesville, Maryland had a fantastic night against the Front Royal Cardinals by pitching a complete game and getting the shutout, which is only the second complete game shutout this year in the VBL. Out of the 31 opponents at bats, Owens only allowed five hits with four strikeouts and no walks. With the complete game shutout Owens improves his record to 1-1. Owens now has a 2.95 era with 14 strikeouts in 21-1/3 innings pitched.

2008 Valley Baseball League South All-Star Team

July 2, 2008 - The Valley Baseball League announced the All-Star Team members including five New Market Rebels on the South Team: David Burch, Kevin Dietrich, Dan Gentlzer, Brandon Holloway, and Nick Stanley. Note that Kevin Detrich and Nick Stanley have repeated as they were also on the 2007 Valley Baseball League South All-Star Team!
